Mother Of India

Mother Of India

While writing this article I was confused between two options “Mother India” or “Mother of India”. But after giving it a thought I concluded for Mother of India.

India got freedom on 15th August 1947 but a day before its freedom on 14th August 1947 our neighbour got freedom.

In 1912, a girl born in Almora, India her name was Sheila Irene Pant was Brahmin by birth, her father was a British army officer. She did her graduation from Lucknow University aka LU. She did her MSc. in economics. During her working with a Delhi college, she met a man Mr. Liaqat Ali Khan. They both fell in love and they married in late 1932.

After freedom of Pakistan Mrs. Ra'anna Liaqat Ali Khan, went to Pakistan with her husband. After her husband became first prime minister of Pakistan, she became first lady of Pakistan. In lieu of wife of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, she worked so much for the society. She initiated several woman and child development programs. After freedom Pakistan was facing hard times several diseases, financial crisis and migrants from India, at that time she worked so much for her nation. Even after the assassination of her husband she did not stop and continued her services for the social and economic welfare of women. That is why she was called as “Mother of Pakistan”

I was amazed we Indians has “Father of Nation” but at the time when India does need a mother like personality to hold it. We cannot even recall a single name to whom we could call as “Mother Of India”. We had several men in politics, few women were also there but not a single woman was portrayed as mother of nation. Even Mahatma Gandhi’s wife died in 1944, few years before freedom at the age of 74.

One of the reasons why India does not has a Mother of nation because it’s our inherent nature of putting women behind the walls. Perhaps this is one of the reason why India still did not pass women’s reservation bill. People are opposing it because few of them are saying reservation should not be based on gender. I wanted to know, should reservation be based on caste? If yes, then why not gender based.

Even in the current scenario we do not have any Mother Of India. Can you suggest any name?

Is it easy to become a Godman

Few days before a Godman caught by police because he was into the business of prostitution. He was metric failed. He was not well educated. I was just thinking that is it really very easy to become a godman, if you don't know anything, if you are illiterate. But if you can fool people around by just giving some preaches, then yes you can earn up to $40 Billion. Is the business of prostitution so attractive. Why not Government of India make it legalize then also they can earn through taxes. But that is different issue.
I was wondering what am I doing with my Degree, just getting some few bucks, whereas i can be a better preacher. Few days before I was discussing with my friends that why not I open a temple in my land, regular income, social status. And moreover i will get political support in a democratic country. In India if one does not want to leave a land he simply constructs a temple on it. and then our so called moral police helps to protects it.
So Far as this so called Godman "Ichhadhari Swami" is concerned, he is having so much political and administrative contacts that it was not possible for police to touch him. Most amazing thing is he has almost 100 Thousand disciples. Is it really easy to be-fool people on the name of religion.
I really want to know what our so called Moral Police is doing, apart of harassing couples. They use to say that they are saving Indian culture, by not celebrating valentines day and other western festivals. Mostly Hindu groups who pretend themselves as moral police what are they going to do with this person who is playing with several hindu followers. I am still waiting to know what will be the next step of moral police or they are only for beating innocent people.
